What’s most offensive to me in so many of these posts is all the grass.
I mean, you’ve got money and some little architect or builder-designer is getting a chance to go a little nuts, I don’t care. It’s huge and you end up singlehandedly buying the electric company a new coal scrubber or solar field, you know, that’s what public policy is for.
But, plant some shrubbery for God’s sake. A baroque hedge garden filled with lavender and bee balm would be appropriately tacky and also serve a few bees.
You are right! I expected an HOA, but instead it appears the owners are just boring.
The pool looks brutal. No shade, lots of concrete. No privacy.
