FTFY. I’ve walked hours to work in snowbibs, a ski mask, and snowboarding goggles when it’s -30F – and I’m talking about the cheap gear. Why do I walk? Because we have virtually no public transport infrastructure anymore, and there’s often so much snow that it’s impractical to drive.
If we had open bicycle trails that were maintained in the winter, I could be at work in minutes instead, which would be the clearly safer option.
