Found a great deal at a used gear shop…actually a new unit open box. Digging the workflow and vibe. Already recorded a few tracks with it!

Thanks! It fills the void for what I wanted the Alesia Micron to live up to years ago. Much less menu diving here!

Hahaha! Saying the JD-Xi has much less menu diving than the Micron is like saying getting AIDs is much better than getting cancer.

That said, I love my JD-Xi, but designing sound on it is a dark-red-on-black, two-line LCD, menu diving nightmare. Thankfully the presets are great, and it does a lot for the price.

Not sure if I agree with the comparison lol. The micron literally had everything buried in a menu just a small but it was sooooo convoluted in navigation I never bothered. The micron tried with the shift key shortcuts but it was so awful lol. At least the JD-a I tries to be logical with its organization. That said, not being able to save a “patch” and only a “program” is annoying. But I have other synths for that type of workflow.
