When it boils down to it, the state sanctioned the killings in the first place and all these people are asking for is some symbolic recognition of the victims, is that really too much to ask of the state?
So I’m not really sure what this specific petition is hoping to accomplish. Just that the people who were accused and never convicted aren’t guilty? They already weren’t convicted, so, presumably, already aren’t guilty.
I don’t support killing people for witchcraft or anything, but why? Can the state of Massachusetts actually do anything?

As far as I can tell, Massachusetts has already exonerated everyone who was convicted.
