I ask this cause other long running cartoons have been cancelled and brought back or had their creators consider ending the show.
Examples -Stephen Hillenburg wanted to end Spongebob after the first movies -Simpsons were almost cancelled at one point -Family Guy got cancelled twice -Futurama got cancelled like 3 or 4 times.
So has something like this ever happened to South Park. Cause I can’t imagine them doing this show for over 20 years without at least throwing around some ideas for a finale.
They asked to be canceled for a whole season when they put #CancelSouthPark at the end of every episode.
I feel like they still enjoy doing it. They haven’t handed off any aspect of it so it’s not just a money maker, and they’ve clearly make enough they could just quit. So I just assume it will go until they don’t want to do it anymore, and I think that’s the way it should be.
