Still can’t believe the Bears traded a pick in the 30’s for a 9 game rental. Sweat is mils more talented than Claypool, but if he follows Jaylon Johnson out the door this off-season Poles should be on the hot seat. How are Bears fans feeling about Poles running this next draft?

    Also,

The Vikings could have gone after a more similar QB with experience in O’Connell’s system—Colt McCoy, for instance—but instead went for a guy who will add another layer to an offense that has produced just league-average results so far this season. If Dobbs can boost a run game that ranks 22nd in EPA per play, it will help offset what they’re losing in the pass game without Cousins at the very least.

I have always wondered what KIND of QB O’Connell(And Jefferson) wants to run the offense. The offense likely won’t be as good without Cousins, but it should be different and could be a new type of fun to watch.

Loser: The Always Confounding Chicago Bears. Every team that traded a draft pick to acquire a veteran this week is trying to make a push for the playoffs or a Lombardi Trophy. Everyone except the Bears, who acquired Washington defensive end Montez Sweat for a second-rounder despite sitting at 2-6.

Like I get the logic “well Sweat might not be available next offseason in free agency so this way you can get him now and lock him up long term”. But it’s kind of telling all the media and 31 other fanbases were confused by the move.

Do we think Poles is some next level GM who’s smarter than everyone or everyone else is right? I’m goin with the latter. Poles doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt after the Claypool trade and drafting Velus Jones Jr.

I’m pretty happy with the Dobbs trade. We go back like 20 picks at the end of the draft and get a decent stop-gap solution if Jaren Hall doesn’t work out. This is really similar to the Cam Akers trade which has been going well so far.

Imagine thinking you are doing a solid move and preparing best for your future then as soon as your transaction was released to the world EVERYONE is pointing at you and calling you a dumbass.

Thats what it must feel like to deal with Howie and Lynch.
