Anything you view or consume media wise is fair game
I’ve recently added slime 150 ski movies to Plex and I’m psyched for snow, but my wife is not as interested in that so we watch plenty of other stuff. All The Light You Cannot See was wonderful. Five Nights at Freddie’s was better than expected. Locked In was pretty good. Shoresy S02. There’s still one more episode of Morning Show S03, I think. Excited for For All Mankind S04!
Catching up on this season of Morning Show and will probably fire up Invasion next, seems to be a highly watched program
Waiting patiently for season 4 of for all mankind to drop Friday.
Most under rated show
Finished up the morning show. Now that that’s finished, i don’t think I’ll be watching for a while. Nothing is interesting me right now to be honest, I’ve watched so the stuff I was interested in already
The Neighborhood TV Series. Funniest TV show I have ever seen and loving it. Just finished watching the rest of Season 1. Onward to season 2.
Battlebots robot fightin timmmme!!!
The Watch, Brave New World (on Stan) and Taboo (on Netflix).
Watching currently Lessons in Chemistry. Excellent show. If anything I highly recommend watching the first two episodes.
Im addicted to replacing my Blu ray movie collection on iTunes, especially after I’ve just bought a 100” Hisense ultra short throw projector. Other than that “ For all man kind “ starts today.
Hijack is excellent - binged it over 2 nights
I keep wanting to start Foundation season 2 but losing the inertia.
But I also might start Slow Horses 😬
Slow Horses…so good
It’s much better than the 1st season, especially the last episodes, you should definitely give it a go :)
The new four part series All The Light We Cannot See on Netflix is the best thing I’ve seen in awhile. Really enjoyed it.
Agreed!
I rewatched Invasion in a binge session. I feel that it was better the second time around as I understood the plot and characters better. To be fair, my first viewing was not serious. There is a slight twist in the last minutes of the last episode, which now leaves me wondering if there will be a third season and where it would go, plot-wise.
In retrospect, some of the characters really bugged me. The Aneesah character in particular, she has no logic, jut bare emotion, and should not be getting the Mother of the Year award, her kids get taken because, in a narcissistic fashion, she’s always off doing her own desires. Also I found the Luke character most annoying.
Props to Mitsuki and Tevante, who had the most interesting story arcs.
In all, I feel that both seasons ran too long and could have been edited down to increase the pace. The first season is devoted almost exclusively to character development, which makes for a long slog. One could almost start with the last episode of the first season and go on from there.
I also broke down and watched the latest Indiana Jones film. I liked it, especially the plot twist near the end, but the thought now occurs to me thst every Indiana Jones movie is just and extended chase scene. Cinematography and locations were great.
+1 on your Aneesah assessment. Did my head in.
The second season has more action, which is something that the first season only hinted at. Having watched the whole series twice, I liked it better the second time. I have some issues with the last episode and some of the redeeming features are the soundtrack, some of the locations, and the cinematography. I’d give it a 6 out of 10 overall. I find TV+ to be a mixed bag at best. Foundation is a lot better IMHO.
Cheers for the review. I’ll give the second season a whirl and see how it plays out. Yeah I agree about tv+ being a mixed bag. I really enjoyed Foundation. Severance was fucken amazing and I’ve got to revisit The Crowded Room. I was into it, but only got a few eps in before getting side tracked with life bs, but it did have me glued to the screen. I’m hoping the Monarch Godzilla thing is good and doesn’t get too stupid.
As for their Movies Tetris was not what I was expecting but really good viewing and I enjoyed Finch. Both had a lot of heart.
I should have liked that show more than I did, I found it a bit of a slog
