    Exactly. My primary Mac is a 2013 13" MacBook Air that when I purchased it, bumped the processor, RAM, and storage up. The final config was a 1.7GHz processor, 8Gb of RAM, and 256GB of storage. That has lasted me 10 years, so the idea that 8Gb in the year of our lord 2023 is “enough RAM” is laughable to me.

    Whenever I’m asked, which is quite a bit on account of being an independent Apple technician, I always tell people to at least double the RAM and storage from the base config, since it’ll mean the computer will last a lot longer.
