I was always Nvidia person. Had 6800XT, then 9800GT, then GTX1060 andt hen I did the grave mistake of letting a friend talking me into AMD for once. Better FPS per buck value! He said. Ever since I got that GPU I had nothing but trouble. Sporadic crashes here and there ever since I got the card three years ago, but last half a year, it started giving hard freezes, overheating like crazy and not to say it does not even support full DX12 ultimate suite and FSR only got good recently with 2.x version and ray tracing on AMD is still just an afterthough.

Enough was enough, and tomorrow it is getting replaced by RTX3060 Ti and I am never ever going back to AMD. Cannot wait to be rid of it. My only and (probably) last experience (heard the current gen AMDs are not good either) was truly dreadful.

Always overheating and crashing but you never thought to RMA it? Sounds like you got unlucky with a bad card.

It was like once per half a year in first two years, so I thought it is probably just weird glitch or game issue. But sadly now that it got lot worse it is already past warranty time.

I have a 5700xt and have had a ton of issues as well. I went to a 3090ti but now I’m having different issues. The grass isn’t greener.

I say you just got unlucky with your card. So i get why you are disappointed with AMD. What brand you had? Just keep in mind many had/have same problems with Nvidia gpus. I was one of them.

Hope new card will serve you better.
