I’m wondering if I should get an iPhone as my next phone.

I haven’t had an iPhone since iPhone 7 plus

I’ve been on android ever since then, and I was looking at all the improvements iphones have been getting in the past few years since the iPhone 11.

And I would be interested in maybe getting an iPhone as my next phone and trying it out.

Any recommendations ? Suggestions from anyone that’s switched from android to iPhone?

I’m an early Android adopter, I had the original T-Mobile G1, and used Androids until about 2 years ago when I switched to an iPhone. I owned every Nexus phone, most Pixels, and a few Samsungs. I ran custom firmware for years.

And I honestly don’t think I’ll ever go back. Apple has too much of a lead on hardware, security, and updates. And while I prefer Android’s UI, iOS has gotten better and has narrowed the gap.

I switched from s22u because I’ve done Samsungs on each upgrade for years and was just a bit android bored. I’m not a fan boy of any particular make I just get what I fancy. This time it was the iPhone 15 pro max.

Overall I’m very happy it’s fast, good battery, no obvious issues, comfortable to hold. Very good looking phone. iMessage is miles ahead of any Samsung or google messaging app. Galaxy wear is in App Store so my galaxy watch still works. Apps and ui very smooth. Run very nicely.

A few personal things I don’t like. I wish I could reduce app size they seem unnecessarily large. In photos after bringing all my pics over from my android I’ve got 5,000 odd photos in “recents folder” and they have to be there. Photos being in other folders seems to be just a shortcut they don’t physically move like in Samsung gallery.

What do you want from your phone? What would an iPhone do for you that your android phone can’t?
