Hey there - I’m in Germany for at least another month and I broke my iPhone. It was dropped and now has a black screen and a few fun vertical lines.
I’m considering just buying a new phone from Apple Germany. Are there any problems or things I need to consider? What should I know?
My current phone has a physical SIM. I could consider getting the screen fixed but I did this once already in Germany and the screen constantly malfunctioned with the “ghost screen” effect. Which is another reason why I’m considering replacing it all together.

As long as you buy an unlocked phone (without making a contract), you’ll be fine using it in the US with phyiscal or eSIM of your choice. The bands might be slightly different, but they will still work, you won’t notice.
The only real downside is you’ll miss out on mmWave.
