Hi all. Finally going to get my first Apple Watch - most likely the Ultra 2. I’m having a really hard time deciding on which band to get! I’ve been flip flopping between the alpine loop and ocean. And then most reviews I read seem to like the trail loop best!

For those of you who have been living with the Ultra the past year… what’s your thoughts?!? Thanks in advance!

      For increased visibility since this is top comment;

      Go to aliexpress and buy them all for less than one at the Apple store. I did that for my S4. Love the trail loop and ocean. I have 2 colors each. Super cheap. Seemingly sturdy quality.

    I have all three - Trail loop is the most comfortable and inconspicuous.

    Alpine loop looks cool and is comfortable but it’s so annoying to take off

    Ocean loop can be uncomfortable at times

    I wear my watch in the shower. The ocean doesn’t need drying or get dirty. I had others that are fabric bands and they get stinky with the amount of exercise I put it through. If you plan to work a sweat with it. I’d go for the ocean. I’ve heard people say theirs don’t smell but they do when I doubt them and smell it. They just gotten used to the smell. I’m not the one. Because of this ocean all the way.

    I run 30-50km a week and use the trail loop - it’s super comfy, snug and as-new a year later. My daily is actually the apple link bracelet. It’s expensive but pairs beautifully with the ultra’s matte finish. Divisive look though.

    Ocean Band for me, I’ve 3 different colours for different occasions, they’re Uber comfortable and really suit the watch.

      The new Nike sport loops are very close to the trail loops btw. Bought one because I noticed to connectors were the same on both ends (not titanium of course). Looks like the same width too as my trail loop.

    Great discussion. I’ll look for a Black Friday Deal to get the AWU2. As I am runner still debating between Trail or Alpine. Do you guys also go under the shower only with the Ocean band?

    Active Black Caseology Athlex is the perfect strap for me. Looks like leather but it’s actually silicone, so it looks smart while being completely waterproof. Also has a breathable material on the underside so it never gets sweaty 👌

    Thanks all for the feedback! I went down and picked up an Ultra 2… with the blue/grey Alpine loop! Loving it so far.

    As this is my first Apple Watch… I’ll be checking in here regularly to learn more tips and tricks!

    I got mine with the alpine loop which isn’t bad, also purchased an ocean band which I really like! But am now using the nomad titanium band which is perfect! I wear it all day everyday even to sleep 😂

    I have the Ultra 1, had it for just under 6 months. I love it! Main thing I like is the battery life, getting through almost two days on a single charge is very nice. I also enjoy the bigger screen. I do a lot of handyman work, so the rugged case has been a godsend. As for bands, I think the trail loop is the best for day-to-day wear. The Ocean band is great for swimming and diving, but is a pain to get on and off. I don’t have the trail loop so I can’t speak for that.
