I’m sorry, but I didn’t fare any better in finding a higher resolution picture other than what you’ve already shared.
The tone thing is definitely strange, though. I actually found yet another picture of it in a frame here… the painting itself is a lot more yellow than the previous two.

I think the picture with the frame is the original that all the others are based on - they’re either cropping out just the frame or both the frame and its shadow. So I guess the tone in the picture with the frame is the right one? I do like it better.
I tried doing an AI upscaling of the picture with the frame and I think it looks decent. I’ll have to think about whether it’s worth getting printed or whether I should just hang up a different piece of art that is available in high resolution…
