So I’m hopefully buying the new Pro iPhone soon, but I’m confused with the charging aspect - is getting an Apple charger necessary with USB-C?
Currently have an iPhone 13 Pro, deadass upgrading because of its battery. I think getting an Anker charger was the problem. It was that Nano 20W brick, phone gets mad hot even if it’s doing nothing but charging with it. I’d think it’s because it wasn’t an Apple Certified charger.
Is this bs real? And does the USB-C standard fix this issue as Apple has no control over the port anymore? What charger should I get?
Eh, my 13 Pro is still a great phone ngl, it’s just the smallest things adding up.
My battery health being at 84% (must charge 2~3 times a day), literally carrying a lightning cable JUST for my iPhone (all my devices and accessories are USB-C), lame screen brightness (not enough people mentioning this - but it peaks at 1200 nits. Horrible outdoors) and ngl I could use a camera with anti-shaking measures for video as that would help me with my job. Oh and I hate the mute slider, I always preferred a physical button as my older phone had one.
Putting all of these together, I think it’s reasonable. Plus I would kill its resell value if I don’t upgrade this year, so yeah.
so everything sucks, but the phone is still great, how does that work?
The phone its self is fine it’s the software that’s the problem.
I just got mine in June it’s not very old. Once I got the IOS 17 update it’s been making my phone and a shit ton of other over heat and not hold a charge. It’s the update. I really wouldn’t recommend getting the newest IPhone because it has had a ton of issues. Literally anything from glitching out to not charging. Going with a 14 or even just getting another 13 is a smarter option until all the kinks and bugs are worked out with the newest phones.
