    1. Superstars QBs have adjusted to the new defensive mindset in the nfl. Josh has not yet.

    2. Bills played through their top 5 defense and special teams 19-21. The defense has been devastated by injuries the past two years (currently #1 in salary cap on IR)

    3. Coaching is good, not great.

That’s kinda it. Everything else is just media narratives and people who don’t know the team.

I’d argue bills have the wrong talent. Shave a bit off the defense and load the offense more. Give Josh Allen a better line and Josh Jacob’s, a real running game.

Have a borderline top 10 defense instead and better OLine and running game. It’s clear their defense doesn’t matter.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that a game that happened 21 months ago doesn’t have anything to do with what’s happening right now

They beat the Chiefs the following year and were 13-3. Maybe if this year happened last year I would believe it, but this just seems like a silly article that started with a premise and worked backwards. If anything, I think getting dominated by Cincy at home in the playoffs last year hurt worse than the 13-second game.

    I don’t buy it

Teams have overcome way worse playoff losses

They are regressing, but that tends to happen when you finally have to pay your QB.

Chiefs “regressed” when we let go of Tyreek Hill, everyone just forgot because we won the SB that year.

Chiefs have a better QB, better coach and did a smart thing by investing in D (by drafting amazingly well) to make up for their offense being not as explosive

The Chiefs got “lucky” that they have been very good at drafting. Hitting on players like McDuffie, Pacheco, Humphrey, Sneed etc. They basically have gotten like 2 starters out of each draft which is a pretty good rate for a team that is picking in the bottom 5 each year.

Veach has been great at drafting defensive players and OL (and QB per the narrative that he was the guy pounding the table for Mahomes throughout 2016 and 2017), but man, his miss rate on offensive skill players is his biggest weakness. Hardman has been only ever mediocre, Skyy Moore is looking like a bust, and let’s not talk about Clyde. Pacheco is his only real hit, and unfortunately he’s in a low-impact position.

Eh It’s more like they’re draft picks haven’t been too stellar and their defense is just constantly injured. Combine that with the fact that Allen just wants to make the flashy play/ be the hero and it’s not exactly a winning recipe to say the least.

Allen just wants to make the flashy play/ be the hero

Or he feels he has to because of the draft picks not panning out and the defense being injured

Listen as a Patriots fan im loving this but lets not act like the Bills are the worst team in the league here, media narrative is really out in full force. I do legitimately think its a major uphill climb the rest of the season for the Bills (obviously), they now essentially have no true DC or OC. Thats kinda nuts

I actually find the Bills really likable and Josh Allen is so fun to watch but them getting spanked in the playoffs last year by Cincinnati, at home, after having the game cancelled and all the Damar Hamlin hype was really……pathetic and I am convinced they will never win anything.

They just don’t have it, and they don’t seem to really want it either.

Something has just felt off about them ever since the Bengals playoff game, from the Diggs comments to McDermott’s weird handling of the situation.

Lol… last winter at what was one of the coldest games ever played at soldier Field, bills fans inundated the stadium. I’ve been to hundreds of bears games in the last 40+years, going to war with Packer fans, snowball fights, real fights in the young days! But I have never seen a group, so pretentious and insufferable as the bills fans I encountered, we were the worst team in the league last year, talk about punching down! Well 1985 is a lot more recent than never…. And you guys got officially cursed by me last winter(like Thomas Shelby, I do have the power to lay curses)…… and look at you now!! LOL LOL…… window shut! You’ll never win a Super Bowl and next time you guys visit soldier Field, I won’t have a child with me and me and my fellow Bears fans can give you a proper Chicago welcome. I saw my bears win a Super Bowl in 85. Then, later, watched you guys lose four!!! Hahahahaha……remember, you will never win the Super Bowl.

A Super Bowl window is open when you have a team capable of winning the Super Bowl for multiple years which they absolutely did

The “window is closed” narrative is so dumb as if there isn’t any luck involved in winning. Bills could easily roll out and entirely different looking team in a couple years and be great, do that mean the “window is back open”?

This is just not true. They were 13 seconds away from beating the Chiefs in 2022 and very easily could have won the Super Bowl that year. They made the Divisional round again last year. That’s a window.
