It has an easy to use interface and it works great with Plex.
Roku also has an easy to use interface, but in my experience it did not work very well with Plex.
And Fire TV’s interface is a clunky ad-ridden piece of shit.
Nothing now days. Showing ads and servers going offline all the time makes it subpar at best.
Longevity and support. Been using mine since 2016 and it hasn’t aged a day. On the other hand I have a 2021 fire stick and it’s already sluggish and technically unusable.
I got mine for free with a directv promo a few years back. The free part is really nice :) also it just works

DolbyVision
Integration with my iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro
Apple Music
Xcode’ing apps on it whenever
The ONE thing I dislike, can’t get the Kodi app (sideloaded via Xcode) to do HDR/DV on playback and can’t get refresh rate how I want it without the UI stuttering.
How dumb it makes my TV. Seriously, I don’t want poorly designed, unresponsive, and inconsistent “Smart” apps on my TV. Thanks to my AppleTV, I can disconnect the actual TV from the internet, and use it in its dumbest form.
Same. Mine is completely dumb. Definitely the best way to go👍
Shared home screen across all ATV, doorbell pop up while watching content
Any news on more VPN apps launching? I’m thinking Nord, Windscribe & SurfShark. That’s stopping me getting one.
NordVPN did some sort of Q&A on their sub, I saw they finally gave an answer with a soft ETA.
Here is the link to that: https://www.reddit.com/r/nordvpn/comments/17p6r16/comment/k9detx1/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Thanks for the link. But my sub is up in March. I’d rather move to Surfshark. I need Windscribe too, for one of my streaming services.
