For anybody who is a causal and doesn’t know, our management tried to build a better o line. We’ve spent decent money and replaced nearly every person on the damn line. They’re better than the Super Bowl run, but still not that great though. Also burrow sometimes just doesn’t know how to throw the ball away and just takes a sack.

Some people just say shit without knowing anything. Talking about the ones who say we’re ruining burrow and shit like that when we’ve done everything we could do to help.

So many teams straight up slack on investing in an offensive line. Bitch about QB durability, baby the piss out of them, but don’t pay for protection. These dudes aren’t used to being blasted so often, they’re more fragile than RBs and defensive players laying hit after hit. Teams know this but just don’t seem to invest. He’ll be lucky to last as long as Luck did. Luck might still be playing and be one of the all-time greatest by now if he didn’t get trashed so much.

I view Joe Burrow almost the same way I viewed Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck held onto the ball too long and never managed to cut down on his propensity to turn the ball over. He made the playoffs as consistently as he did because the AFC South was a weak division when he played. Joe Burrow doesn’t have the same turnover issue that Luck did. I view Cincinnati’s defense as being more of a reason why he’s had the playoff success he’s had more than his play though. NFL fans all have their players they view as overrated and not as great as the majority of fans and media make them out to be. Burrow and Luck were on that list for me.

People may not like what I’m saying about them holding onto the ball too long and will say that they have (had for Luck’s case) bad offensive lines. My response to that is by pointing out that there have been numerous examples of quarterbacks with injured or just subpar offensive lines who have managed to keep their sack numbers down because they know when to get rid of the ball. After 3 seconds, it’s no longer the offensive line’s fault if you get sacked or hit.

Don’t get me wrong. Luck and Burrow are franchise quarterbacks who have done way more good than bad. I just don’t view them to be the great quarterbacks that many fans and media have made them out to be.

This is what makes a QB injury prone. Too much early exposure to bad injuries and body never heals. The mind is also so broken and the will is shattered. If Burrows makes it to 32 that would be amazing. Depends if his body can hold on.
