Williams was a first-round draft pick of the Eagles in 1994 and had a good rookie year, but he was suspended before the 1995 season after testing positive for marijuana.
I just want you younglings to understand that testing positive for Marijuana in 1995 was, at the very minimum, the same thing as Capital Murder. He’s lucky he didn’t end up on death row.
Was he getting paid?
No.
If he was, he would have been removed way earlier.
This is going to go down as some weird sports trivia question in the future
We fixed the glitch…
You beat me to it.
And somehow Howie received a third round pick in the upcoming draft as a result.
Does he get a Superbowl ring?
So like… Does he get a Superbowl ring?
As far as I can recall, the team gets to decide if fringe players like him will get a ring, so I highly doubt he got one.
Can someone explain how this happens
There was a glitch in payroll and he just kept getting checks. They’ve fixed the glitch, so now the problem should work itself out
Milton Wadums
They uh, they fixed the glitch.
Just don’t take his Swingline Stapler
NFL spending so much on script writers they forgot to pay the devs
Did he get a ring?
What CTE does to a mf
Damn how does this even happen to begin with? 🥴
Had he filed for reinstatement and been granted is it possible his contract would have begun to toll. Like legit what would have happened there
He would technically be eligible to return to play, but the Eagles would still have to take him off their reserve/suspended list. They can just decide to waive him like they did instead of taking him off the list. And he had no more guaranteed money left and/or it was all voided a long time ago so the situation doesn’t really change much.
Put this man’s jersey in the HoF.
Feel like with a bit of leg work Howie should have been able to get a 7th from the Titans for him. Just lazy GMing to straight up cut him, but what do you expect from the jamoke who drafted Reagor.
He should’ve just traded his rights to the Titans for 2 1sts and a 2nd.
Still younger than Jason peters.
And Fletcher Cox
