Today my friends and I were talking about the tight end position and what the history has been like with our favorite teams. When I think back on the Colts, I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to feel. Of course, I feel the Colts have been fortunate with players like Dallas Clark, Jack Doyle, and Marcus Pollard. But we’ve also had players like Coby Fleener, Dwayne Allen, and Eric Ebron where they are notable in the league, but not great.

More or less I’m just asking if the Colts have historically been known to have great TEs, and what your opinions are because our current ones stink. Am I under appreciating our history or are we just lacklustering?

    4th quarter, 2006 AFC championship game. Down 34-31. Bryan Fletcher, right before 2 minute warning.

    Thank God Reggie held onto the ball afterwards…

      That game was awesome, they pulled out all the stops. So many “background guys” stepped up and made big plays. Fletcher with that big catch, Dan Klecko catching the 2 point conversion, etc.
