I have this turned on by choice to help me keep my phone a better distance away from my face. BUT I am also near sighted so at night lying in bed I get this warning every 2-3 minutes. VERY ANNOYING. Like can I get a setting where I can set this to a certain time like the day when my glasses are on my face and off at night when I just want to browse reddit in bed. By the way typing this message earned me two more visits from the warning about being too close to my face.

I am legally blind and I hold my phone very close to face even though I have glass I can’t read unless it’s very close to my face so this warning would mean I won’t be able to use my phone at all lol thankfully it’s not on by default

You could take two nails and run them through your eyeballs. This will prevent the message from occurring :D You can just turn it off in the settings. I however suggest not to.

Seriously though, who actually holds their phone at arm’s length? That’s just too far.

I’ve never even seen this warning before. I don’t like it though. Does that mean that the front facing camera is on all the time? Sounds creepy and draining on your battery.

I wouldn’t mind it if it would go away once I moved the phone away. Instead I have to manually exit the pop up 🤦🏿‍♂️

You have to enable it… it’s disabled by default… It’s Settings > Screen Time > Screen Distance. Or else hold the phone further away from your face and protect your eye sight 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well as for “what is this” it’s telling you to extend your arm from your face and as for how to get rid of it… extend your arm from your face

Who tf holds their phone out at arms length other than middle aged parents who also tilt their head up 20° with bifocals on?

Myopia is trending to get worse and its largely because of screen use. dont give your kids screens !
