So I have researched a lot in the last 30 days (I was hoping for some black Friday deal, but that’s not available through my company portal), but I still struggle to decide.
Some facts:
- Camera is nice to have, but I have a professional camera that I use on trips. So the phone camera would be more on a daily “have to take the shot now”.
- The difference from 13 base to 15 pro is 500 USD.
- Keep in mind that this is equivalent to half of what remains of my salary after basic bills (rent, groceries etc)
- USB C is nice, but most of the time I will charge with magsafe
- 120hz would be one of the main benefits for me
- I have an iPad pro in case I need more “processing power”
- Can only change phone every 3 years
- 13 Pro or 14 Pro are not an option, since they are not available on where I have to buy
So in your view, is it worth to upgrade from 11 to 13 base - and keep this 500 USD to invest somewhere - or should I go straight for 15 pro?

Go to 15 pro. Trade in your old phone and get it on finance if you can’t afford it all in one go. Get a decent case for it and it’ll last for years. I use OtterBox defenders. Never let me down.
