And nothing bad has ever happened to it. It looks brand new and is always clean. Does anyone not shower with it?

I have to take it off to charge some time. Best time is when it would be in my way scrubbing my skin

I used to do it, but having very hard water, both the Watch and the bands were always filled with limestone residue.

Nothing happened to it but it was just ugly and impossible to clean.

Sir, I was born in 1989. Too many childhood years of throwing Nokia 3310s into bowls of rice simply will not allow me to take a $700 gadget into the shower with me.

I always take it off. Technically I know it’s waterproof, but somewhere in my pea brain, technology + water = broken

Also, I don’t see any reason to wear it while showering.

The thing is that soapywater has another surface tension than normal water, that COULD be a problem and if that water dries out a litte of that soap could remain maybe on the speaker and sensors! As you see could could could it‘s not that is has to! Once i had a sticky crown on my Series 6 the support recommended to just hold it in a stream of warm tapwater and turn the crown around and even click it several times, worked perfect, so you should not be concerned about showering with it!

Of course I don’t shower with it and don’t get why people would. I wouldn’t want to have a wet soapy wrist behind the watch, surely that shit would go cristy after a while?

I’m looking to get an Apple Watch, should I just get the latest series one when I do? Also does stainless really matter or just go default?

I’ve been swimming with my Apple Watch since the Series 1 and have never had any issues.

I never do. I’d have too much anxiety over it. I don’t trust their water resistant claims. Then if it’s out of warranty and water makes it’s way in, I’m screwed. Then there goes $400+ dollars. May as well wash the whole wrist if you’re already showering.

I always have. Been using Apple Watches since series 3 and never had a water problem. I’ve always swam with them too. In pools and in the ocean.

I charge when I’m showering n what not. I usually just wash it after charging and I’ll wash the sport loop every other week or weekly in summer
