Most people seem to be giving their ranks on MVP voting citing only QBs. It’s hard to imagine that just a title over 10 years ago Brees’ 46 TDs wasn’t enough to win MVP.

I’m curious as to who the real MVP candidates are. QB production is down so I’m really gearing towards awarding it to a defensive player like Myles Garrett. I know some people have also cited CMC and Hill.

I’d say Myles Garrett but he’s slowed on the sacks quite a bit, he’s not winning by a lot and wasn’t even in 1st place until recently

AJ Brown was on track to definitely be in the conversation before his 1 catch game last week. I’d say he’s having the best offensive season for a non-QB along with Tyreek and CMC.

    T. hill if he stays this output. Other than chiefs game has been on fire. And a Defensive guy would be awesome a lot of guys with a lot of sacks this year.

Add a “Most Outstanding Player Award”, or better yet go the NHL route and have an award for each position group named after a HOF player (The Unitas, The Butkus, etc)

I don’t think CJ Stroud is necessarily going to win as a rookie, but it’s hard to overstate how valuable he’s been to the Texans. I thought this team was still at least a year away from winning, but he has them doing it immediately. Take him off the Texans and how many wins do they have?

I know you said no QB but QB is always the most valuable position so it’s hard to see anyone else making a case. CMC and Hill are great players, but their teams are better without them than the Texans are without Stroud or the Eagles are without Hurts.

I agree it shouldn’t be a QB. Let’s take a look at two of the top QBs in terms of scoring. People are saying Hurts should win it but he has been carried quite a bit by his team. Allen actually has more total Td’s this year (rushing and passing combined) than Hurts and the turnover percentage is similar. Only difference is Allen left the field 2x with leads that the defense choked away to Mac Jones and Wilson while Hurts defense did not choke. Bills should be 8-3 if the defense did their job against the Patriots and Broncos at the end while the Eagles could easily be worse if the Chiefs actually caught passes, which would have changed the whole MVP narrative. Both guys are similar but are not lighting it up.

So I think someone like Garrett should get it, as he has been huge in leading that Browns defense or Tyreek Hill
