Using an LG C2, is ‘RGB high’ still the recommended HDMI Output setting? What reason would you have to use YCbCr or RGB Low? Thanks!
Have never noticed this apparent ‘green tint’ on my Panasonic HZ1000 so leave it set to YCbCr with Chroma 4:4:4.
Everytime this comes up the one thing that seems to be the common denominator is the majority that do seem to be using a Sony tv.
I’ve seen the odd person now and then who use an LG say they see it, but there’s plenty of other LG owners that say they don’t.
Mines on ycbcr
I noticed that’s the only thing that stopped weird dimming issues during dark scenes on sdr content.
Now can you tell me how to leave the passthrough on my tv so the sound doesn’t cut out on Apple TV+ shows. Everything else works fine but it’s crazy how mad I go chasing this gremlin when all I have to pause and restart the app or refresh the sound bar to get sound back. End rant.
I haven’t experienced that, I’m sorry I can’t help!
Stacey Spears mentioned this on Blu-ray.com forum:
Spent some time looking into the ATV YCbCr levels. Turns out, RGB is also incorrect, but in a different way. Bottom line, neither are correct.
I plan to share the full results of our YCbCr and RGB Monotonicity played through ATV to someone who can then publish them.
