I am immensely sad about the lions game and I think even most lions fans would agree that the Bears should have won that game. Fields was playing mistake-free football until he was put into a position that ultimately led to the fumble.
I honestly feel bad for Fields, was super impressed by him that whole game. Defense lets him down, and then they only let him work for one play with a chance to ice the game after running directly into a stacked box twice in a row
I don’t think most would agree. A lot of sentiments are “a win is a win”. That being said, it was an extremely regrettable game and it was a good showing for the players but a terrible showing for the coaches.
Oh I’m not arguing that it was an unfair game. They definitely deserved the win. There were no crazy bad calls from the refs, and really no big missed calls. I think it’s more one of those things where if you were just tuning in for a second and saw the score with 4 minutes left in the game, Bears fans were thinking “hey we might actually win” and lions fans were like “12 point game this late in the fourth, it doesn’t look good”. It’s 100% the Bears coaching that lost us that game. Lions are too good a team to play that safe against
Eh, bears completely shit the bed at the end. Left every receiver open and couldn’t get a first down when it mattered, and played it safe with a field goal instead of sealing the game. The bears lost that game themselves. It’d be different if we got some bullshit Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary but the bears pretty much shit themselves when it mattered.
