I predominantly wear my Ultra (and previous Apple watches) as I’ve grown so used to the features and functionality in daily life.
However I do own other watches like quite a few G-shocks and Casio Edifice and I’m sometimes tempted to wear them but usually revert back to my apple watch out of convenience (living in Japan the Apple watch is essential for transit and electronic payments.)
Do you guys ever wear other watches and if so what are they and under what situation would you wear them over your Apple watch?
I’m that weirdo that wears an Apple Watch on the right, for health tracking, and a regular watch on the left because I like the ‘old fashioned’ mechanics of it. And because they’re a thousand times prettier than that black square on the other wrist.
Sometimes people ask me about it, when I explain it they shrug and go on with their day.
Yup! Some days i just get fed up with my apple watch and want a peaceful day with minimal phone usage, so i wear a normal watch. i have a good collection with rolex, cartier, and some basic ones like fossil and citizen.
i wear those watches when i’m going out somewhere fancy, to a conference, somewhere i need to talk to people, dates, etc.
apple watch for more gym and chilling at home or running errands.
I feel the same. Recently I just turned off all notification syncing from phone. So I‘m not getting disturbed by notifications, but still have the nice sleep and activity tracking features.
No, the main reason is that’s the only one I have. Second, I like it so I wouldn’t anyway.
I wore GShocks daily up until last week when I got my first AW. I switched over to Apple from Android back in August and have enjoyed the experience. I was familiar with apple as my work phone is a 12 but never really dove deep until recently. I’m not sure if I’ll ever throw a ‘regular’ watch on again or will I 🤔
Yes. I have a few other watches that I will wear. Usually it’s when I’m dressing up as I don’t think the Apple Watch looks right at a formal or semi formal occasion but also when I just feel like it. I like my Apple Watch but there is something about a real mechanical watch.
Never wore a watch before 2019. Only wear the Apple Watch for its health tracking and heart rate alarms.
The first Pulsar in 74. Hand me down.
Not really, I have a few citizens, seiko’s and a few Invicta’s But I like all the tracking & other stuff to not wear it. I always tell myself I’m going to wear my “nicer” watches (Dressy) when we go out to dinner at a steak house or on a double date but never do.
I’m a mechanical watch enthusiast and have a modest collection, but I’ve been mainly wearing my Apple watch after I got my first one. Love getting notifications and using Apple Pay with the Apple Watch. Now I only wear mechanical watches when I’m attending a more formal event or I know I’m going to meet other watch enthusiasts.
I track with my Apple watch, so all of my other watches are gathering dust somewhere.
No. I never wore one, had to get used to wearing a watch with my AW
Over several decades I built a very nice collection of higher end watches which now sit looking at me forlorn for being neglected. But for formal occasions or others where, for me, an analog watch is more appropriate. Otherwise, yes, the AW lives on my wrist.
I take my regular old casio on holidays, that way i do not have to worry about charging and.or flashing expensive hardware in places that is not wise.
I use an Apple Watch all day, and a Garmin device (in addition to the Apple Watch) to track all my workouts. Generally I use an Apple Watch as my smartwatch and main health and fitness tracker, and a Garmin device as my main workout and performance tracker. I choose this devices because I think that each one is the best in its category.
Sometimes I swap to my old Apple Watch while my new one charges.
