You could definitely have looked harder at the available options and made a deadline move, but there’s a good reason he hasn’t started a game.
Yeah there’s a reason these veteran guys are available midseason, and it’s not the entire NFL undervaluing them. If Wentz and Siemian were high end backups, they would’ve secured their backup jobs for the year a long time ago.
