I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving weekend! As always, this post is to really see what’s going on around the league after yesterday’s games. Who’s playing well, who’s playing poorly, complaints about your team losing, whatever it is.
Here’s what I took away from this week:
Dolphins are going to run away with the AFC east crown
On a similar note, the pats and jets are done for the year and the bills have a tough road to win the division.
Broncos Country is finally riding again.
Matt canada really WAS that bad after all. Maybe the steelers offense is alright now.
Chargers fucked up drafting Quentin Johnston over Zay Flowers. Best waiver wire pickup this season for me.
the playoff race is going to be really interesting over the next few weeks.
What are some of your reactions?
I saw Peter Carroll playing with some puppies on Thanksgiving and I’m now over my irrational hatred of that gum chewing dude.
Somebody in our sub was complaining the other day about him throwing his gum away on the sideline and how gross and disrespectful it is.
Idgi, man.
this feeling has persisted for more than 8 hours
I may need to see a doctor
The Eagles are my SB pick because there is some kind of magic voodoo in each game that causes miracles to happen. The sports gods are clearly doing something here.
Absolutely decimated by injuries yesterday and yet another late 10pt deficit and still finding a way to win.Brian Johnson still sucks though. You can tell who actually watches the game versus the box score by people’s opinions of him.
If we make the playoffs this year and Love continues to play well, this season is an absolute W.
If he really turns into another franchise QB…
The NY Giants’ 3rd-string quarterback is barely putting together drives for touchdowns to beat garbage teams and Giants’ fans are developing Stockholm Syndrome for him because he leans into Italian Stereotypes for the memes. Giants fans are also wondering if it was a good idea for Schoen to say out-loud that they’re probably looking at adding to the QB position next draft, even though the current QB room has a contracted QB that can’t get back to his personal record of 15 TDs a season, a second-string QB who’s perennially injured or is making the most risk-averse throws in the NFL, or a third-string QB whose current claim-to-fame is that he still lives with his parents; this third-string QB is also throwing more TDs in a game than the contracted starter.
I never thought I’d say this, but I’m looking forward to some Eagles’ end-of-season shellackings - that should wake this fan base up to the fact that Jones, Taylor, and CERTAINLY DeVito are nowhere near the answer and if they want to stay competitive with a division that has Hurts, Prescott, and even Howell in their division, they need to upgrade the QB position and QUICK.
You aren’t welcome at the post beating the Eagles party then
Stop licking my heels cowboy fans I’m starting to slip
The Packers’ hot streak is legit. A wildcard is actually on the table, and if they pull off the upset next week, they could even hope for better than a 7 seed. Never thought I’d be saying that 3 weeks ago.
The Eagles are so fun to watch. That Jake Elliot kick is going to be replayed for years.
The top of the AFC may be crowded, but the Ravens look better than the rest. They don’t really have a weakness beyond randomly beating themselves.
Has anyone actually seen Mac Jones and Zach Wilson in the same room together?
Nobody wants to win the NFC South
The Browns are fucking dead.
Chargers need to get rid of Staley ASAP.
Broncos are back.
Colts have been slept on.
There’s a decent possibility that the Rams somehow make the wild card at 9-8 just because they’re the least bad team in the hunt.
The last AFC wild card spot is a free-for-all.
Rams finishing 9-8 is not a take I’ve seen yet. Looking at their schedule, they still have a scheduled loss to the 49ers and a tough game against Baltimore. It could happen.
One thing that gets interesting is tiebreakers. I genuinely think the Packers can finish 9-8, and they would have a tiebreaker over the Rams. Not sure how this changes if Seattle or Minnesota or even both finish 9-8 as well.
I can only find Houston highlights for the game yesterday. And the missed field goal. One would think we weren’t in the lead for pretty much the whole game. But the refs!!! They sucked both ways. Atrocious reffing and they need to be fired.
Despite their tough schedule I think the bills totally have a shot to get a wild card spot in the AFC
I’m kinda getting worried about the Eagles- not because of a close win, but because I keep on thinking this team is gonna “click,” they haven’t reached their full potential. They’re still my Super Bowl pick though.
I’m also worried about the ravens, our 2 blowout wins against NFC “contenders” keep on looking less impressive.
Not a take on the games themselves, It’s 2:00 so I’m guessing that Brandon Staley is gonna stay for at least another week for some godforsaken reason- how does this guy still have a job.
Eagles - Dolphins, calling it now.
I really wish my team was bad so I could laugh. Instead my team is insanely talented and we find creative ways to lose games we should win.
Really it’s the hope that kills you.
I’m tired, boss
Ravens have a chance to win the AFC
Refs are either being paid off or they have bets in Vegas, I don’t know which, but it was egregious yesterday Jags v Texans.
/yeah yeah, one game, but MAN, that was a piss poorly called game for sure, one of the worst cases of ‘why have refs at all?’.
Yikes
