USB-C sucks

CarPlay was randomly going in and out today. Took me a moment to realize the plug was loose. I jiggled it a little to reconnect. Awhile later, it went out again. As I was readjusting it dawned on me, this thing is becoming permanently loose.

I had never had this problem with the Lightning connector. So much so that it didn’t Really register with me the first few times it happened.

“Glass sucks. The back of my phone shattered when I dropped it and it dawned on me that glass is faulty. I never had this problem with aluminum. I have determined that glass as a whole on iPhone is faulty since my phone is broken.”

See how silly this sounds, OP?

If it was consistent, but its not. I don’t own a single usb-c port or cable that fits perfect its either too loose or too tight being barely used and brand new.

Main reason I bought the iPhone 15 is the USB-C, but its not great on larger devices and lightning always fit snuggly without aligning the cable.

Terrible on larger devices as power connector bends easily.

Don’t go blaming a standard for one vendors crap implementation. If iPhone build quality disappoints you, that’s fair.

A valid criticism of the standard is all the subtypes and the lack of standard cord labeling for them.

I uaed phones with usb-c in the past for 3 and 4 years. The port was never problematic on those even after years of use
