My 14-year-old son wants an iPhone for Christmas. Do I need to get him the 15 or will an older version be okay?

He’s only ever had Samsung phones, and not very good ones at that.

If you are with T-Mobile get a 13. Good deal on those right now and it’s a great phone.

mine holding well past the two years mark… still lighting fast, plenty more than what a phone should ever be capable of… I mean… It’s a phone… who cares if the cpu isn’t the latest? does it get the job done? Then that’s all there is to it… I don’t even notice any lag at all while loading pretty much anything, if you need a phone remotely in any way faster than that… then you don’t need a phone, you need a computer… I dropped mine from two stories high directly on concrete, screen cracked a bit but honestly, I expected A LOT worse, not some minor cracks… still working perfectly… planning on not changing the screen and just plain out test how long that fucker can last me

so yeah… iphone 13 is still solid buy… IMO no reason why get the latest model in 2023… phones are not like they used to, they improve less and less with each model, but what’s great is that, what we have now is wayyyyy more than we’d EVER need a phone to be… it’s a goddamned phone for fucks sake…
