What is your favorite thing about synthesizers? Do you have a favorite instrument, technique, or artist?
Hey! I’m a huge fan of Eurorack since it’s modular and can take my favorite parts of from each company and build my own noise. Some of my favorite modules are made by Frap Tools, Instruo, David Rossum, and Expert Sleepers. Doepfer makes pretty decent modules at a great price point too!
I am afraid of the money pit that is commonly called Eurorack 🤣
My favorite thing about synthesizers is how versatile they are. Favorite artist would have to be either Brian Eno or Waveshaper. Prophet is my fave of the classics. Just picked up a Neutron though and learning modular.
Instrument: I love my Yamaha MODX6 but now start fall in love with my new Roland SH-4d. Technique: I have been a casual piano player for 40 years and got the synth virus four years ago. Keyboard playing is my aim after I create (or better tweek) a sound. Artist: Too many to list. The classics (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi) but also Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield.
