Today, walking down the street I heard black metal (interesting that I can recognize black metal from a very long distance away at a whisper’s volume)… And I was like, hmmmm who’s playing from their phone?

Turns out far away in Plaza de España, some guy had some speakers. I discreetly sat down under a tree near him and enjoyed for around 30 minutes while browsing Lemmy before heading back home.

I was sad to leave the music but duty called (a duty which I’ve procrastinated for over 6 hours now because Lemmy is just too entertaining lmao)

Funny how I always find it so bothersome when people play music on speakers, but when it’s good quality metal I’m very glad that of their shamelessness.

I’ve always wanted to sit next to someone playing music out of their phone on public transit and play the heaviest shit imaginable right beside them ahaha

I totally get it. Black metal has that almost white noise vibe where the dynamics are really constant and almost soothing. Especially when it’s so atmospheric and you can lose yourself in it.
