Each figurine is made out of over 800 individually folded modules. It took me around 75 hours to design and make them.

Edit: If anyone is interested in learning the hobby or making these figurines yourself I am glad to help out with resources and diagrams for every model I designed.

I love these! I’ve been wanting to get into 3D origami for a while. Do you have any recommendations for someone wanting to learn?

Thank you so much! It is not a hard hobby to learn. Once you know how to fold the pieces the biggest hurdle is to find something to watch while folding. Youtube is a great resource for beginners because you can find a lot of tutorials for pieces and for models to make where you can directly see how you have to stack the pieces. My models sadly are diagrams only but once you have done a model and look up what the symbols represent then it becomes pretty easy to make them aswell. As for tips: I always shape my pieces before stacking them, which means rounding out the front. To do this I use a stack of around 8 pieces, stack the new piece on top, and then I go gently i between the front of the wings with my finger. This sounds more complicated than it actually is and you’ll figure it out fast when you have pieces in your hand. I am also very happy to help with any questions or difficulties that come up so don’t hesitate to ask!
