What is your favourite browser for iPhone or iPad? What features make it your top choice?
I use Safari but if Firefox was like how it is on Android with addons then I’d be using that instead.
Safari
Also Safari. The only issue I have is the auto page zoom cuts off the right side slightly. Very minor but still bothers me. I filed a bug on it over on the lemmy-ui GitHub project.
Which instance? I’m on Lemmy.world and using the webapp and no problems.
Every instance. My issue was marked as fixed today in 0.17.4-40 so hopefully it will be available soon.
Safari to facilitate the interactions with my MacBook.
Yeah the handoff feature is slick. I like being able to switch between devices.
A moment of silence for Camino and OmniWeb… excellent Mac browsers that couldn’t join us in the modern era.
Firefox Focus if it’s just a one-off thing. Firefox if I want to keep track of it. I use Firefox everywhere though.
Firefox. Google never.
How do you deal with ads? I’m running Adguard on my device but from experience it only seems to work in Safari :/
I use firefox focus as a content blocker. Works well
Yep, Firefox for me as well on all devices.
Firefox. Even though it doesn’t have all the nice privacy and, particularly, ad-blocking capabilities as on other platforms, I use it for those reasons on my Android and Windows devices, so I like having it all synced.
I use Safari. Feels the fastest. 1blocker has been just as good as ublock for me and Userscripts is a great replacement for Tampermonkey.
I use Userscripts across iOS Safari and MacOS Safari via an iCloud folder accessible to each. Has made life much easier for me on mobile.
Same! It’s a great way to make your own little cloud scripting service.
Chrome. I would love to use Firefox but it doesn’t have translate.
Brave, because of the built-in adblocking.
I’ll definitely be in the tiniest minority, but I use Edge on both my laptop and iPhone. Despite the general hate towards Microsoft I see online, their browser is really well made and so behaved better than Firefox or Chrome in the past ~3 years.
Brave for sure
Safari, with Wipr for ad blocking.
I use Safari as my main browser for Mac as well so everything is synced.
If the App Store rules are ever relaxed by Apple willingly or by regulation I would likely use a proper port of Firefox too.
Chrome all the way!
Safari as main, Vivaldi for cross-platform connectivity.
