I have the same 2023 Mach E that they tested and I’m surprised that their range was so good. Highway speeds tend to really hurt my range. Though I do tend to drive closer to 80.

An Ioniq 5 owner did roll-down testing with their car and produced some interesting graphs.

I know it’s not directly applicable to the Mach-E, but seems like it might be representative of general range drop-off by each speed increment.

Their conclusion was that the Ioniq 5’s charging speed was fast enough to offset the reduced range at higher driving speeds, but you can also take the conclusion that slowing down leads to reduced charging stops so it might be a wash depending on how far you’re trying to go.

Huh, that’s super interesting. I’ve never considered the time trade off for speed vs charge time on long trips. My car charges much slower than that car (different aero dynamics too, I’m sure). I may slow down for that.
