I’m in Salt Lake and I absolutely hate it, but the I’ve always despised Utah. I’m only still here because I caretake for an elderly parent who can’t be moved. When she’s gone I’ll be so out of here it’ll make everyone’s head spin. All my friends who left Utah long ago say they are so happy to be living in other states. I know when I do get out, I’ll never look back and actively will deny ever having lived here at all.
As an ex mo I hope it’s true! I don’t live in SLC and it still feels stifling down in orem.
Have you tried not living in Orem? SLC is great!
Haha well I moved here because of my job, and I got a steal on a house that I bought for 200k in 2020 that is now 400k.
But honestly I probably would like slc. Me and gf love going up there via train.
