Are you still trying to move over lemmy.world? I saw your post and try to find it on the instance but was unable to. A lot of the post I’ve seen on limmy.ml have not been great. Along with the instance exploding–heads. I’d love to get away from both of those ; I’ve been thinking about setting up my own personal instance.

No, because people don’t want to do it sadly. We’ll have to be here, waiting to see if there’s trouble. And when it will be, I will do a poll to ask if people want to migrate. I really don’t like the moderation here, but people don’t get it because they didn’t see for now how bad it can be

because people don’t want to do it

They can stay on this instance. !actuallesbians exists already and should be federated after somebody searches for it on this instance. lemmy.ml is manual approved so it’s easier to grow communities on lemmy.world currently. That’s why there’s more users on lemmy.world and it’s the fastest growing non-bot instance (currently).

Yeah but there’s no content for now on this community, and I already made a lot of things on the one we are currently

The issue comes from the fact lemmy.world is larger, easier to access/sign up. Not to mention lemmy.ml’s known issues with stability causing people actively being told to avoid this instance.

Come July 1st these issues isn’t going to work in lemmy.ml’s favour.

There’s also a benefit in consolidating on the largest instance (more likely to capture migration users) as a safety precaution against defederation (just look at Beehaw).

Edit: also the content problem solves itself if we actually coordinate a migration from the Reddit sub.

I agree with you, but we have to think about it. Honestly i’m all for a merging of our communities, but we have to rework some things. Like, we could rename your community to “lesbians”, because it’s not already taken by a porn sub like on Reddit. Also, I could copy-paste my description and logo I already have here to your community, and I can ask people to migrate. I don’t like lemmy.ml, so I’m all for it, but we have to collaborate together, if you want of course
