Did you have one spontaneously? Randomly read about it online? Are you one of those lucky people that have had them since childhood?

    I haven’t seen those tutorials, so I can’t say.

    But dream recall is a skill, you’ll get better at it. I recommend writing in as much detail as you can, even if it’s a short fragment. And if you don’t remember anything just write “didn’t remember anything” or something.

    Some auto-suggestion before sleep can also help: “I will remember my dreams tonight” or “next time I wake up I will immediately remember my dreams”.

    Another thing that has been helping me is trying to be more mindful during the day, and going through my day in my head when I go to bed. Try to recall your day before sleep and your dreams after sleep :)
