I watched the final episode of True Detective Season 1 and was totally blown away. I see there are two more season and happily strap in for more. I get 15 minutes into S2 episode 1 and am very VERY confused. I go back to see if I accidentally started Season 3 instead. I watch S2 E1 for another 15 minutes and it has none of the same magic as Season 1. I stopped 30 min into S2 E1 and never went back.
People tell me Season 3 was pretty good, but I’m not sure I can overcome my disappointment to give it a shot.
