I think it depends on the subreddit. I haven’t spent much time beyond deleting and editing comments to reflect protest, but I did see a thread in r/tech with all the top comments supporting. Obviously the subs that voted to do malicious compliance are sympathetic to the cause, too.
I have a post about that where we were figuring out programs to mass delete comments didn’t catch ones from subs that were on lockdown. I’ve been checking periodically and have had to manually delete a few more day to day
