Just got a notice that the DP Review website will live on under Gear Patrol (a site I’d not heard of till today.) That’s good news for maintaining a history of digital photography forums and gear reviews from the last two decades or more.

    Gear Patrol seems to be quite an amusing place to browse. On my first visit I ended up down a rabbit hole of posts about watches, which is another of my passions.

      Ah weird. I didn’t go out there yet to see the general site but it does seem to be a wider scope than just photography. It is a strange phenomenon of popular sites/services that are not quite too big to fail but big enough to merit the need to carry on somewhere or lose a part of Internet history.
