She is likely going to be a front runner for 2028 (obviously we are years out so things change). That’s really the only reason the primary matters right now barring the 2 very unlikely scenarios of Trump being removed from several state ballots and/or receiving some sort of major conviction that absolutely obliterates him or otherwise bars him from running.
We’re getting a sense who can survive the trumpet political gauntlet and be in the next round. DeSantis is done IMO. He’ll be another Rubio/cruz/etc. running over and over for decades always coming in 3rd or worse. He never figured out that the only way to win as a republican is to keep your grievances broad and your solutions non-specific. He tried a policy approach instead of trump’s chest pounding approach, and it turns out that people don’t actually like a lot of these social policies being implemented in Florida.
