I don’t know how I feel about this. Banning kids from social media linked to their real identities and made up of their real life peers makes sense to me but keeping them off of forums, link aggregators or article comment sections seems overkill. We do a lot of patronizing things for kids for their own benefits and not letting the dumb stuff they say at 16 follow them forever is a useful thing I think but trying to keep them from information is not useful.

Uninformed people are EXTREMELY useful to the GOP. The dumber the voter the better.

Agreed that this, and also with Fl’s takeover and "anti-wokening"of its state schools point in that direction buy I bet this will have bipartisan support among the people. Parents I talk to hate social media for their adolescents but it isn’t worth the fight since everyone else has it. This let’s the parents shrug their shoulders and say "Welp kiddo, it’s the law. Now finish your pledge and national anthem for the camera so the Board of Patriotism doesn’t come visit. "
