    I still have my brother b&w laser printer that’s like 10 years old and I bought a generic replacement toner cartridge once.

      This is the way. People buy the cheapest printer they can find and then they are surprised there are problems. Put in the extra money for an inexpensive laser printer, and you’re pretty much set for life.

        And I bought it used from somebody for like $20 because they couldn’t figure out the wifi driver

    I put refillability above all other features. I don’t care about bells and whistles or qualities of prints, just as long as I can easily refill the cartridges myself.
