Destiny 2 has a hybrid model where a bunch of stuff is done on the client to make overall experience feel smoother, even when latency is appreciable, but that still by necessity leads to all sorts of weirdness behind the scenes when the clients are catching up with the server and you start having hit registration issues, teleporting enemies and players, even though the client isn’t really dropping frames per se.
Most FPS are probably fine nowadays, they’ve developed a lot of lag and ping compensation strategies. It might be a problem in a high stakes tournament with the best players.
I played Destiny 2 recently with some kid from Australia… he seemed like he was able to play online fine and I’m in the U.S.
