I’m trying to keep up with the times, but I’m an over the hill social worker. I signed up for lemm.ee and linked it to the app Jerboa. Now, however, I’m supposed to tell the Admin that server 0.17.4 is too low. Who is the Admin? How do I fix it?

Hey, 0.18 was released a bit prematurely and has a lot of serious flaws. I am waiting for the minor update - 0.18.1 - which is nearing completion and will address most of the problems. Basically, lemm.ee will be skipping 0.18, sorry about that!

I think you’re the person that makes this space possible, so thanks for answering, and for making all of this. Sincerely.

When you say “nearing completion” is that days weeks or months? I am not trying to rush you, I’m just trying to understand.

Let me preface this by saying that I have no influence in the matter of when releases are made, but looking at the current state of development, I am guessing it will be late this week or early next week.

I tried just now to donate to your cause; your work is meaningful. However, I had to give up after 5 attempts. I’ve never had to work so hard to send money, and still I failed. This whole tjing has me doubting myself. Have I just crossed the boomer devide and there’s no help for me?

No, you’re still trying to learn and asking for help in understanding even when you’re seemingly intimidated by something new. With that kind of thinking/attitude, there is no being beyond help. People like you are what makes helping people navigating technology rewarding even in cases where slow progress might at times be frustrating to inexperienced “teachers”.🥰 Plus you’re appreciative, that’s always a big plus.

I appreciate that! Can you tell me what in particular failed? Maybe it’s something I can improve for the future
