I’ve tried to use notepad++ enabling dark mode in the settings. But everytime I update the setting gets resetted.

It could have something to do with using it as using as portable and updating by uncompressing the new version over the old one.

Has anyone had more luck than me with the dark mode setting?

    I have it normally installed on all PCs where I use it, the setting has never been reset for me. Portable has a setting file (.ini?), if one is supplied and overwrites yours that would explain this of course.

      I’ve looked a bit more and I’ve seen that it is not an ini what was being used but the “config.xml”. And I’ve been overwriting that file with the one that comes in the archive.

      Edit: By the way, there’s also another file that changes frequently, the “session.xml” that stores some info about the tabs opened.
