I was looking at getting some roguelikes / lites (already have ToME, CoQ), unfortunately Cataclysm DDA is not on sale.
Krone Hotel at 90% off looks like a decent choice too. Then there’s Jupiter Hell, which I recently stumbled upon and looks great too.
I’d also like to get some of the FF games, though I’ve played VI, VII, IX and a bit of XII, it would be nice to revisit some of the older ones I haven’t played almost since the PSX era.
It is unlikely that Cataclysm ever goes on sale, because the steam release basically is just a donation. You can get the game for free on the official website: https://cataclysmdda.org
There you can also donate other amounts than the Steam price.
Whaaat. I didn’t even know they had a steam version!
I got Hearts of Iron 4, Gotham Knights, Peglin, and Growing up. I’m very happy with it.
Hell yeah peglin is fucking fantastic!
Love this game so much

Stardew Valley is the GOAT. I’ve bought it 4 times (one for me and my ex on Android and again for each of us on PC) and would happily buy it again because it’s worth every penny.
I wonder if Stardew’s mods work on the Steam Deck? I’m not certain. But the game has amazing mods that completely change the focus of the game and add a ton of content.
I had a lot of fun playing that one.
I got a steamdeck. Should receive it Tuesday or Wednesday.
Honestly, nothing.
I’ve been consumed by Diablo IV right now.
Not sure if I’ll buy anything, my backlog is terrible already and I recently bought some games like Tales of Arise through Fanatical sales. Main game I was hoping would get a sale was Shadows of Doubt but it’s still full price.
Why play, if you can buy?
Shadows of doubt has a great concept but the cases get repetitive really fast I must say and the option to customize your apartment aren’t really that great to justify grinding through the repetition.
What makes interesting solving mysteries is the backstory and motive behind it and SoD really don’t have any option to get to that, taking with npc have only the same generic questions that gives you just the generic responses and even going through emails have the same template messages repeated.
The case available in the demo/tutorial is great because it’s hand made but after that, you quickly see behind the curtains to be honest.
Tales was on sale through fanatical? Damn, I missed it
Base game was $17, I think ultimate edition was $37 which seemed really high for costumes.
It was one of their star deals, limited time and limited stock.
Thinking of getting Stray.
Do it! Such an enchanting and unique game 😸
I went for High on Life. It looks fun and has some reasonably good reviews.
I received BattleBit Remastered as a birthday gift, it’s great. I hope they don’t drop Linux support.
Other than that I might buy Bugsnax.
I finally picked up Graveyard Keeper and all the DLC. Really fun game and plays great on the Steam Deck.
Dark Souls I and III.
As a noted Dark Souls II evangelist, you should give that one a shot, too.
Is the Scholar of the First Sin version the one to get?
I think it’s the only version available now. It’s the comprehensive version with all the DLC, but it’s also got a few minor changes from the original base game.
Ok, thanks.
I’ve played every Fromsoft game multiple times, except DS2. Just got SOTFS and I’m excited to give it a go.
Slashers Keep, Lego Builder (the puzzle one), and some indie VR titles. I’m really tempted to get Sparky the Electric Jester 3, it looks so cute!
Has anyone played Void Bastards? What’s your elevator pitch on why I should (or not) play it?
Jupiter Hell is actually a really weirdly good little DOOMRL clone, I can recommend it highly. It deserves more attention than it has gotten from rl fans.
I grabbed octopath Traveler 2, avorion, Carrier Command 2, Spiderman Miles Morales, and thr biggest find was the Metro collection. Looking to play through all 3 games.
Never finished Last Light, got stuck on a section and didn’t want to go all the way back to an earlier save to make sure I was in a better situation.
