Westerners, of course, but surely Ukrainians see the first lady in expensive, elaborate outfits and their president in a tshirt next to her and think “this guy is fucking annoying.” My only other guess is it’s pushing the subconscious narrative of the unkempt warrior male who’s too busy with violence so that females can stay safe and worry about makeup and hair.
