They all just say “Pending”. I don’t understand.

Lemmy.world is getting proper slammed at the moment and they’re having a few issues with the Lemmy software as well. I hope they all get sorted out soon.

So, I was trying to join !zen@lemmy.ml and couldn’t get it to work, it kept saying not logged in.

Then I saw a post saying to search for the whole URL and that worked and allowed me to join.

Problem is that now all the comments from other users have disappeared in the posts, and I’m wondering if my comments are not visible to the lemmy.ml users as well.

From what I’ve heard it happens often. It also happened to me on another community, even ones from other instances such as beehaw.

This isn’t a lemm.ee issues either, as I’ve heard it happened to another users from another instance.

I’ve been able to see beehaw posts when viewing All from lemm.ee. I shouldn’t be able to see that if it were defederated, correct?

No, we can still see their posts as long as lemm.ee doesn’t defederate from beehaw. However, if beehaw has defederated from lemm.ee, they won’t be able to see our comments/posts, nor can we interact (but still view) with theirs.

There isn’t a master list, but for each instance you can see the instances they have blocked. Just scroll to the bottom of the instance’s homepage and click on ‘Instances’. Beehaw’s is beehaw.org/instances and they have not defederated from us.
